Christmas Cards

Image
Last week I made a few last minute Christmas cards to use for the neighbors and friends. I like how they all turned out.  The background of this is the CTMH Paper Fundamentals-neutral and I fussy cut the stockings from Yuletide Carol. The clothespins are new the new Lovestruck  clothespin and I thought they were perfect for this card. The "I Believe" is from the Yuletide Complements.  For these two cards I used cardstock, black and honey ink and the Reason for the Season stamp.  This is my favorite card using white and glacier cardstock, a little piece of silver glimmer cardstock and the Frosty Fun stamp set. I colored the girl and boy with my ShinHan markers. I will be doing this card for an upcoming winter card making class. This card was made using scraps of paper I had left from Yuletide along with some bling from the Yuletide Assortment.  All supplies for these products can be purchased here .

Throwback Thursday Free to Be Me Cards

Image
I had some Thank You cards to make for some girls in my class that got me gifts when I was done student teaching. I wanted something simple as they are only 12! I pulled out my remaining Free To Be Me paper pack and paired it with the Quick Cards-Seashell stamp. I used Flaxen and Chocolate for my inks.

Yuletide Layout

Image
Yuletide  is one of the more versatile Christmas paper packs Close to My Heart has carried in recent years. I created this fun layout to capture 2 small pictures and then a large 8 x 8 picture will go on the second page. I also used three of my Cricut Cartridges. I cut out "Merry Christmas" using Artbooking . The banner says Love & Joy and was cut with the new Artfully Sent cartridge and finally the ornament is cut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I also add some gold glitter paper to give it some Christmas bling! I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful end of 2014.

Throw Back Thursday Proplayer Cards

I just finished student teaching and some of my students got me gifts. I wanted to give them Thank You cards, but didn't want anything really fancy, because, well they are 11 and 12! These are for the 3 boys who gave me Starbuck's gift cards.  I pulled out some old Proplayer paper and the Proplayer Workshop on the Go stamp. I stamped the "Zone" in Outdoor Denim and "in the" in Ruby. They are simple, but I used up some paper and the students will appreciate them.

Pathfinding Layouts-Workshop on the Go

Image
I really like the Close to My Heart's Workshops on the Go . Everything you need to create two to three beautiful two page layouts. Included is all the paper you need, a stamp set and embellishments. The best part is the cost, only $29.95.  This Fall I completed the Pathfinding Workshop on the Go.  The first two layouts were created with directions from the kit: The third layout I created adding two additional pieces of Chocolate cardstock. I used Make it from the Heart Vol. 1 to get the idea for the layout. I also added a small piece of Chocolate fundamental paper  and used my Cricut and Artise Cartridge  to create the rosette.   All three layouts use Goldrush, Olive and Chocolate Ink. You can order all supplies here .

Pathfinding and November Stamp of the Month

Image
Life is finally starting to slow down for me now that grad school ends in 4 days!!! I am working on cards this week for the fabulous staff I have worked with. For these 2 cards I used Close to My Heart Pathfinding  along with the November Stamp of the Month "It's the Little Things". Here are the cards: For this card I used the November Stamp of the Month along with the sentiment stamps that came with the CTMH Artfully Sent Cartridge. I used Olive, Barn Red, Goldrush, Lagoon and Glacier Ink.    For this great card I used the new CTMH Cricut Cartridge, Artfully Sent . I cut everything at 4". I also added some Paper Fundamentals Basic  and brown glitter paper. The tree is from the Artbooking Cartridge cut at 3 1/2". I love how it turned out and is masculine enough to use for my school's principal.
