Disney Mulan Visit

Image
Before we went to DisneyWorld last spring we watched as many Disney movies as we could find. A family favorite ended up being Mulan and my son could not wait to meet her when we went to Epcot. Almost a year later I have finally started scrapping our 2 week vacation. As soon as I got the La Vie En Rose paper pack I knew it was perfect for the picture of Simon and Mulan. I used two Close to My Heart Cricut Cartridges for this layout. I used Art Philosophy for the large scalloped square. I used the "fit to page" for the size. I used the Artristry cartridge for the flowers. Two of the flowers are 2 3/4" and the smaller one is 2".  This layout helped me find my vacation layout mojo so hopefully I will get a few more layouts done this week!

Christmas Cards with White Pine Paper

Image
I have had so much fun creating Christmas cards this holiday season. This card was made using the White Pines paper pack, Christmas Post  stamp set and Hand-Letter Christmas . I used the retired white shimmer trim and colored with a ShinHan Marker . I also colored the snowman with ShinHan markers.  All supplies are available from my website .

Sangria Fall Happy Card

Image
I have had so much fun playing with the new Close to My Heart Artistry cartridge. I used the new Sangria paper to make this card. To create the wreath I cut it at RDS 4" and to cut the acorns I had to pull out the Art Philosophy Cartridge from CTMH and cut them at 1".

Whatever the crafter has chosen as their T element will be featured in their post. If you came from  Cat's blog then you're on the right track! This last couple of weeks I have managed to finish a few layouts and cards. T is perfect for "Teeth" and my son's first dentist appoint from 2010. The Art Philosophy cartridge has the perfect flower that when the petals are cut apart look like teeth.  Close to My Heart supplies used: Honey cardstock Paper Fundamentals Adventure Assortment  Scallop Border Punch Art Philosophy Cartridge  and stamp from Artfully Sent cartridge Next on your hop is Lauren Moore of CTMH Craftings .  In case you get lost along the way go to  Scrappy Therapy  for a complete list of participants!

Nevermore Treat Bags

Image
I created these treat bags using the Cricut Artfully sent cartridge and the Nevermore paper packet. I created a sleeve at 4" and instead of putting a card in it I will put candy in it for my son's teachers at school! The following Close to my Heart products were used: Nevermore  paper packet Steampunk  Stamp Set Black Ink pad Art Philosophy cartridge

Blossom Layout and Card

Image
The Blossom paper pack is one of the new paper packs in the Seasonal Expression 2. I have had fun creating with it. So far, I have made this simple card using circles cut out at different sizes with the Art Philosophy cartridge. I also used some of the new Glacier Extra Thick Twine  and the new stamp set Finding The Words . The layout was created using the same circles along with Whisper cardstock. I also added some Oceanside Sequins  and Glacier Extra Thick Twine.

Yuletide Layout

Image
For the first time ever we sent to a studio and Christmas pictures take of Simon! I did pretty good getting 1 of the 3 pictures on a layout before Christmas. I have to get the two other pictures printed still. The Yuletide Carol paper and coordinating complements were perfect for these pictures.  In addition to the Yuletide Carol paper I added some Gold Glitter Paper . I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge from Close to My Heart to cut the presents.  All products can be purchased on my website .

Yuletide Layout

Image
Yuletide  is one of the more versatile Christmas paper packs Close to My Heart has carried in recent years. I created this fun layout to capture 2 small pictures and then a large 8 x 8 picture will go on the second page. I also used three of my Cricut Cartridges. I cut out "Merry Christmas" using Artbooking . The banner says Love & Joy and was cut with the new Artfully Sent cartridge and finally the ornament is cut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I also add some gold glitter paper to give it some Christmas bling! I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful end of 2014.

Day 2-Buzz and Bumble Layout

Image
Buzz and Bumble is one of my favorite new paper lines from Close to My Heart. It is so versatile and has so many fun colors. The honeycomb paper is cut 2" x 4" for the left page and 2" x 12" for the right page. There are two 2"x2" squares of patterned paper and cocoa on the right page for 2 photos. The photo mats are cut at 5 1/4" x 7 1/4", 4 1/4" x 6 1/4", and (2) 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" I also used Sunset Baker's Twine  and the cocoa die cut is from the Art Philosophy Cartridge .   This double page layout is also part of my Page Kits of the Month and is available for purchase for $6, or $15 for the next 3 months of layouts or $55 for 12 layouts over a year.
