Spruce it Up

Spruce It Up  is a beautiful new paper line from Close to My Heart. I am recovering from hip surgery and have been blessed with friends and co-workers who have delivered meals. I made this card using Spruce it Up and the January Stamp of the Month, Everyday Magic . The January Stamp of the Month is one of the better sentiment stamps available. It is available for only $5 with any $50 purchase this month. Also, 20% of all sales to to the Australian Wildlife Park to help with the additional costs they have incurred due to the wildfires in Australia.

Chelsea Garden Cards

The Chelsea Garden paper pack is so versatile. It contains the colors of Charcoal, Fern, Glacier, Heather, Juniper, Mint, Sweet Leaf & White Daisy. So much old and new combined that it was easy to find cardstock to match.  I created these two cards using the Chelsea Garden Paper Pack, the Bloom & Grow  stamp of the month ($5 with any $50 purchase), and the Chelsea Garden  cardmaking stamp set. I used Sweet Leaf & Charcoal Ink . 

Candlelight Garden Thank You Card

I love the versatility of the December Stamp of the Month. I love all the stamps, but the lights are one of my favorite pieces. In order to prepare for the influx of Christmas I went ahead and created some thank you notes to have on hand. Ho, Ho, Ho Christmas Cards

Creating this Christmas cards was so easy, but look very classy. This is the first Christmas I have had co-workers since I started making cards so I am having fun creating cards this year. I used a piece of Cranberry card stock, black shimmer trim ,the Reindeer Bell stamp set and black ink. I used some old ribbon slides I had to create Santa's buckle.

White Pines Christmas Box Card

Our power was out this past weekend and I had the opportunity to stay home from work (school cancelled for 3 days) and did a little crafting. I love the White Pines paper packet from Close to My Heart. I also love creating box cards. They look complicated, but this tutorial from SplitCoast stampers shows how quickly they can come together.  To create this card I used White Pines paper packet, White Pines Assortment, White Pines Compliments and Glacier Twine.  All supplies can be ordered here .

Sangria Fall Happy Card

I have had so much fun playing with the new Close to My Heart Artistry cartridge. I used the new Sangria paper to make this card. To create the wreath I cut it at RDS 4" and to cut the acorns I had to pull out the Art Philosophy Cartridge from CTMH and cut them at 1".

Happy Card

Coloring has been my new stress reliever since I went back to work full-time. The Botanical Background Stamp is my new favorite stamp to use with the ShinHan markers. The Botanical Background stamp has 3 different stamps to create backgrounds. This is one of them and I will showcase the other 2 stamps in the set in the coming weeks.  The "Happy" on this card is from the Finding the Words stamp along with Teal Shimmer Trim .  All supplies for this card can be ordered here . 

Taste of Summer Card

I am having so much fun playing with the Taste of Summer paper pack available through Close to My Heart though the end of May. Today I had the opportunity to play with my new Cameo Silhouette I got for Mother's Day and created this great card using the Taste of Summer paper and Adventure Assortment- Paper Fundamentals .    Order your Taste of Summer here .

Blossom Layout and Card

The Blossom paper pack is one of the new paper packs in the Seasonal Expression 2. I have had fun creating with it. So far, I have made this simple card using circles cut out at different sizes with the Art Philosophy cartridge. I also used some of the new Glacier Extra Thick Twine  and the new stamp set Finding The Words . The layout was created using the same circles along with Whisper cardstock. I also added some Oceanside Sequins  and Glacier Extra Thick Twine. 

Teacher Appreciation Card

This week I used some retired paper, Claire, along with the CTMH Teacher Appreciation stamp to create this simple card for my son's teacher.   I used the following Close to My Heart products to create this layout: Black Ink Flaxen Ink Sunset Ink White Shimmer trim, colored with ShinHan marker Gray Wool cardstock All supplies (except the Claire paper) can be ordered here .

Blushed Easter Set

Over the next month I will be showing you all the different creations you can make with the 4 Close to My Heart Cricut Cartridges. Today I am showing casing the Artise  along with the Brushed paper pack and Paper Fundamentals Adventure Assortment . The basket and grass can be found on page 79 of the Artise cartridge. The basket is cut at 2" and only took me about 2 minutes to fold and assemble. It will be perfect to fill with candy for a small Easter gift. The grass on the card was cut at 1" and I cut it twice and layered it so it would fit all the way across the card. The sun is a 1 1/2" circle that I embossed with the CTMH Honeycomb  embossing folder and inked with Canary ink. The clouds are from page 66 of the Artise cartridge and I inked them with Crystal Blue ink. The rabbits are from the Artfully Sent cartridge and cut at 2", 1 3/4" and 1 1/2" and the smallest bunny is raised off the paper with an Adhesive Spring  from Close to My Heart....

I am having a great deal of fun playing with the February Stamp of the Month "A Happy Hello". The other night I created this card using a Close to My Heart Card Base and two inks: Thistle and Canary . Throw Back Thursday Proplayer Cards

I just finished student teaching and some of my students got me gifts. I wanted to give them Thank You cards, but didn't want anything really fancy, because, well they are 11 and 12! These are for the 3 boys who gave me Starbuck's gift cards.  I pulled out some old Proplayer paper and the Proplayer Workshop on the Go stamp. I stamped the "Zone" in Outdoor Denim and "in the" in Ruby. They are simple, but I used up some paper and the students will appreciate them.

Pathfinding and November Stamp of the Month

Life is finally starting to slow down for me now that grad school ends in 4 days!!! I am working on cards this week for the fabulous staff I have worked with. For these 2 cards I used Close to My Heart Pathfinding  along with the November Stamp of the Month "It's the Little Things". Here are the cards: For this card I used the November Stamp of the Month along with the sentiment stamps that came with the CTMH Artfully Sent Cartridge. I used Olive, Barn Red, Goldrush, Lagoon and Glacier Ink.    For this great card I used the new CTMH Cricut Cartridge, Artfully Sent . I cut everything at 4". I also added some Paper Fundamentals Basic  and brown glitter paper. The tree is from the Artbooking Cartridge cut at 3 1/2". I love how it turned out and is masculine enough to use for my school's principal. 

Chalk It Up Cards

I have had so much fun this month playing with the Close to My Heart Chalk It Up  paper. Tonight I made 3 cards using different papers from the pack and 3 different stamps.  This card uses the Lagoon dots and I also used the Your Own Kind of Wonderful  stamp set. This is by far my most favorite stamp set in the new Annual Inspirations. To create the butterfly I second generation stamped the solid butterfly and then stamped the decorative butterfly over the top. I also added some silver shimmer trim. This card I used Lagoon and Sorbet cardstock and stamped the Great Job stamp in Lagoon and added black enamel stars.     This card was created with the Teacher Appreciation stamp set and the black striped twill ribbon . All these products are available on my website .
