The Quilted Scrapper

I am absolutely in love with the Close to My Heart Textile fabrics. I have played with Chantilly and will be order For Always next time I place an order. Today I am using strips of fabric to create fabric flowers. Here is the final product: To create the flower I started with my liquid glass, an approximately 1 1/2" strip of fabric and a small piece of scrap paper. I first folded my fabric in half length wise, wrong sides together. I then applied a generous amount of liquid glass to the scrap paper. Then I started rolling. Your hands will get messy and you will use LOTS of liquid glass, but the result is worth it. I just rolled it up like a coil until I was happy with the size and then cut the fabric and used the remaining fabric to create a smaller flower. This type of flower is very forgiving and you can place a button in the middle to cover any imperfections.

This is my page kit of the month for March. Even though I do not have a girl, I am enjoying playing with Chantilly . It is such a versatile paper pack and I can see family Easter pictures in this layout. Not only did I use the Close to My Heart Chantilly paper pack, I also used the Chantilly Textiles and the silver glitter paper to create this two page layout inspired by the Close to My Heart Make It From Your Heart book. To create the fabric flower I folded my fabric in half lengwise and then wound it in a circle around a piece of scrap paper that had a glob of liquid glass on it. It went together super easy!
