Fabric Flower Tutorial

I am absolutely in love with the Close to My Heart Textile fabrics. I have played with Chantilly and will be order For Always next time I place an order.

Today I am using strips of fabric to create fabric flowers. Here is the final product:

To create the flower I started with my liquid glass, an approximately 1 1/2" strip of fabric and a small piece of scrap paper.

I first folded my fabric in half length wise, wrong sides together. I then applied a generous amount of liquid glass to the scrap paper. Then I started rolling. Your hands will get messy and you will use LOTS of liquid glass, but the result is worth it.

I just rolled it up like a coil until I was happy with the size and then cut the fabric and used the remaining fabric to create a smaller flower.

This type of flower is very forgiving and you can place a button in the middle to cover any imperfections.
