Garden Tags Sympathy Cards

Image
The June Stamp of the Month, Garden Tags , is one of my favorite stamp sets. Using some older Mix and Match paper and a variety of alcohol markers, I created these two sympathy cards. The sunflower stamp was my favorite and I cannot wait to make some other cards using these stamps this week once school is out for the year!

Botanical Oasis Desert Star Quilt

Image
I recently finished quilt #5 for the year for a dear friend's birthday. It took me over a year to find the perfect fabric for her. She loves pinks and greens so this fabric from Wilmington prints was perfect for the Desert Star quilt pattern. As soon as school ends this week, I will begin quilt #6!

Sympathy Cards

Image
Unfortunately I had to make 2 Sympathy cards this weekend. The Garden Tag Stamp of the Month stamps were perfect for these cards. I used the Blue Skies  paper pack and my alcohol markers to create the Thinking of You card. The other card is made using retired Seasonal Mix-In paper.  The Garden Tag stamp set is only $5 the month of June with any $50 purchase.   https://stephaniefeist.closetomyheart.com/

3 Yard Quilts

Image
Donna Robertson's 3-yard quilts are one of my new favorite series of quilt patterns. So many patterns to make with only 3 yards of fabric. They come together quickly and the variety makes the book well worth the money. The book I used is the Easy Peasy 3-Yard Quilts  that I picked up at my local quilt shop. I have made 2  so far. One for my husband for Father's Day and one for my niece for her upcoming birthday. They take less than half a day to put together once everything is cut. This is the quilt I made for my husband using the Dear Stella fabric line by Timeless Treasures. My quilter, Debbie did an amazing job quilting it that it brought the whole quilt together. I just picked up this quilt from my quilter and it was suppose to be gift, but it now resides at my house! Same 3-yard concept, different design. I used the Grunge and Urban Grunge line from Northcott Fabrics.

I Love You and Like You Quilt

Image
I love this quilt and how it turned out. I am not a super pink person and I wanted something I could leave up longer than just February. I chose these beautiful fabrics from the Sugarcreek Prints and Wovens by Corey Yoder. The pattern is from Maker Valley . I was a little imitated at first glance, but it came together easier than I expected! I enjoyed it so much that I think I am going to use my extra fabric to make a pillow or two for gifts. Yes I know I made a mistake in one of the blocks but didn't notice until it was quilted and hung on the wall! We are calling it my Amish mistake.

Wool Mug Rugs

Image
Since I have been recovering from surgery since the beginning of December, I needed to find some hand work to keep me occupied. I have now fallen in love with wool applique. I created these cute mug rugs that I purchased from Shabby Fabrics.

Spruce it Up

Image
Spruce It Up  is a beautiful new paper line from Close to My Heart. I am recovering from hip surgery and have been blessed with friends and co-workers who have delivered meals. I made this card using Spruce it Up and the January Stamp of the Month, Everyday Magic . The January Stamp of the Month is one of the better sentiment stamps available. It is available for only $5 with any $50 purchase this month. Also, 20% of all sales to to the Australian Wildlife Park to help with the additional costs they have incurred due to the wildfires in Australia.

Oh My Heart

Image
Close to My Heart outdid itself this year with their Valentine's Day special. The Oh My Heart kit creates both scrapbook layouts and cards. I created 40 cards in a matter of a few hours. The scrapbook pages are ready to go, just waiting to find pictures! Here are a few of the cards I created. I took some liberties though and changed sayings as I do not need 30+ love cards! However, the different words that come with the stamp set make this a very versatile kit.               Once cut kids could easily assemble the cards for their friends. I did find it important with these cards that the right ink pads are imperative. I used Raspberry, Pixie, Candy Apple and Black ink .
