Chipboard Altering is Endless

Image
Yes, I said it, endless. There are probably dozens of different ways to use, decorate and alter chipboard. Chipboard is a fabulous way to add dimension and texture to your project. Chipboard works great on cards, layouts and altered projects such as frames and tins. Here I am going to show you how to ink, cover with patterned paper and mist your chipboard. To begin you need chipboard! Chipboard is sold by almost every manufacturer and I will be using Close to My Heart Chipboard and my own chipboard today. You can also create your own chipboard with a thin piece of chipboard and a die cutter. Other materials I used were modge podge, Close to My Hear Ink and Re-Inker, Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist, paint brush, Close to My Heart filing tools and sanding tools, scissors, patterned paper and a sponge. First I will show you how to cover your chipboard with patterned paper. You will need a piece of chipboard, modge paint, paint brush, sanding tool, scissors, and ink for edges

Oh Baby Mini-Album

Image
I have fallen in love with the Close To My Heart mini-albums. This is the second one I have made and it is for my cousin and his wife and their first baby. I used the following supplies: CTMH Mini-Album Twitterpad Paper from CTMH "Nonsense" Rub-Ons by We R Memory Keepers Tiny Tots (flowers) Brads-Colorbok Misc. Buttons Flourishes-CTMH Some techniques I would use on my next mini-album; I would use modge podge to put the paper  directly onto the chipboard and then sand the edges, I would remember to plan ahead and put the brads on before I adhered the paper to the chipboard and I would leave room for more journaling. I hope you can use this album as inspiration for your next or first mini-album.

Piece of Cake Birthday Card

Image
I am excited to be part of an amazing group of Close to My Heart Consultants creating for the Use It of Lose It Blog . Our first challenge was to use our oldest Close to My Heart Stamp. I used the Piece of Cake stamp set. It might not be my oldest, but it is one of the oldest I have! I designed this birthday card to use for my mom's birthday: Aside from the Piece of Cake stamp, I used some old CTMH paper I had lying around "Gingham Spring Combo" along with CTMH markers and Oak Brown ink. I look forward to my next reveal in two weeks.
