Lollydoodle Friendship Card

Image
I have had fun with all of the Close to My Heart paper packs this Idea Book . I finally ordered Lollydoodle after seeing it in person through many customers! While I don't have a girl to scrap, this paper is perfect for Home Decor and cards. I used the paper pack with the May Stamp of the Month  to create this card for a friend. To pull out the gray a little bit I also added some Sparkles from the Black & Gray Assortment. The ribbon is the old Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon that I inked with Cotton Candy CTMH Ink.  All supplies to make this card and many other craft projects can be purchased here .

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop! For this hop we will be featuring the letter J. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their J element will be featured in their post. If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~  Scrappy Therapy   If you came from My Heart's Design  then you're on the right track! Today I decided to make jewelry. If you didn't know, Close to My Heart sells jewelry you can create and personalize! The first necklace I made for a teacher friend. I used the Dreamer Style Sheet and Queen Craft Charms.  This necklace my son and I made for his 1st grade teacher. We chose to use the Queen Charms, Free Thinker Charms  and Craft Queen Style Sheet. We also chose to use the antiqued silver necklace and pendants instead of the antiqued gold in the necklace above.   All of the supplies f...

Free to Be Me Sunburst Layout

Image
I have seen so many cards and layout using the Sunburst design that I was excited to see a layout on the Scrapbook Generation Blog from May 2013. I used the May Close to My Heart National Scrapbooking paper pack Free to Be Me  to create my Sunburst layout. I created this layout: To create the sunburst I followed the directions from Scrapbook Generations. I used two pieces of old cardstock that could be used as a template. I lightly drew a line at 6" the length of the paper. I then marked the middle of the line. I then drew the sunburst connecting the ends of each sunburst to the dot in the middle of the paper. Before I cut the paper I should have numbered the template 1-9 so it would have been easier to put in order! You to can get the Free to Be Me paper pack for only $5 with any $50 purchase through the end of May. Shop here  or contact me.

Free to Be Me Cards

Image
Both of these cards were created with paper from the Free to Be Me paper pack available this month from Close to My Heart for National Scrapbooking Month. For the first card I used my Cricut Artbooking Cartridge to create the small honeycomb overlay and the large honeycomb. I also used CTMH Cocoa Grosgrain Ribbon and a Mother's Love stamp set available for use with your SPC when you host a party.  For the second card I used the velum in the Free to Be Me paper pack and the Mother's Love Stamp Set, Gypsy ink and Pear ink. I stamped the leafs and flowers on Colonial White cardstock and cut them out and popped them off the paper with some 3-D adhesive. While the card is simple I love the elegant look it has.  The Free to Be Me Paperpack is available for only $5 with any $50 purchase now through May 31, 2014.

Free To Be Me Layouts

Image
I am having so much fun playing with the Free To Be Me paper available from Close to My Heart this month only. The colors are perfect for boys, girls, adults, and pets. This first layout I created is my son and his cousin from a few years ago. I used the Free to Be Me paper and the brown striped paper is from the Paper Fundamentals Basic Assortment. I also used White Daisy and my Cricut Artise cartridge to create the title. I used the CTMH retired chipboard numbers and inked in cocoa for the year. The second layout I created is for Easter and I used F lip Flaps , Dimensional Elements Signage , the CTMH retired Color Ready Canvas Letters with Lagoon ink and the Lagoon Zipper Lace . I will be putting pictures from my son's Easter Egg Hunt on the right hand page. Flip flaps are great because you can add more pictures without so many pictures appearing on your layout. This layout appears to only have 2 pictures, however under the small 3x3 photos th...

Balloon Ride Layout

Image
The Balloon Ride paper pack was just perfect for last year's family pictures. I also got especially creative and used my Cricut Artbooking Cartridge for the overlays, doodled along the photo mats, inked the Color-Ready Wooden Trinkets , and altered a chipboard frame to enhance the family photo!  I used Lagoon, Sky Blue and Coca Ink for the trinkets and around the edges of the frame.  Close up of doodle work Close Up of wooden trinkets.  All these items can be purchased through me or on-line here .
