The Quilted Scrapper

This week's Bo Bunny Card Challenge was perfect to make a baby card for my nephew Mason who will make his appearance in this world next Tuesday, May 3rd.   I took this sketch: And using the Bo Bunny Blast Off line I created this: Supplies:  Bo Bunny Blast Off Galaxy, Bo Bunny Blast Off Stripe, Bo Bunny Brad, Miscellaneous scraps of card stock, Misc. buttons, font: Curlz MT, ink: Cat's Eye Brown

After Christmas we picked up a chocolate Christmas house and I thought it would be perfect for Easter, with only having to add some Easter candy! After I assembled the chocolate house we sat down last night to decorate it with jelly beans, peeps and chocolate Easter bunnies. Simon loved decorating it with jelly beans and putting snow "white chocolate" on it. Never did I think with Easter at the end of April would we still have snow, but since it has snowed off and on all week, I guess his adding snow was appropriate. Before we started decorating I attached the peeps with white chocolate to my tray and set the house over it so they could be seen looking out. We also set one up at each end of the house. I then cut jelly beans in half for Simon to attach to the roof and make flowers out of on the walls of the house. After he was done with that Seth and I decided to take some bites of the chocolate bunnies and make it look like they had tried to attack the peeps and the

Last week while I was spending too much time on Facebook, I saw a link for Easter baskets. Once I saw how easy they were I knew I had to make some. So, Friday night I made 3 Easter baskets for our Easter brunch. I will fill them with dyed Easter Eggs on Sunday morning. Finally, it is done and on my wall. I absolutely love this quilt. I started this project over a year ago and finished sewing the binding on last week. I saw the pattern in the May/June 2007 Fons & Porter  magazine and instantly fell in love with the it. I am still working on a table runner and a mystery quilt, but those will have to wait until next week as we have Seth's softball tournament and soccer game this weekend and I have a baby shower on Sunday.
