Tom Sawyer's Island

Image
The retired Close to My Heart Timberline paper was perfect for our vacation pictures of Tom Sawyer's Island at the Magic Kingdom. I used my Cricut Artbooking cartridge along with Ponderosa Pine and Outdoor Denim to cut the rope and titles. I also used Woodgrain Embossing folder on the Cocoa cardstock.

Legoland Robotics Layout

Image
I have found the perfect scrapbook paper from Close to My Heart for our vacation photos. The Paper Fundamentals Enchantment  paper pack is PERFECT for Legoland. Of the 20 pages I have used everyone except the pink! Last weekend before football I had a few minutes to sit down and grabbed the last of our Legoland pictures. As a family we had fun and learned so much taking a Lego robotics workshop. While it was new and my 9 year old found it frustrating it was a great experience for all of us. Here is the layout that I created using the Magic  scrapbook how to book. I had some old alphabet bubble stickers from Close to My Heart that I added to explain what was happening in each photograph. It was an easy and fun way to journal!

ABC Blog Hop-B is for Boys and Background

Image
Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop! For this hop we will be featuring the letter B. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their B element will be featured in their post. If you came from Scrapping with Shalana then you're on the right track! Today I chose to create a layout of my boys and used the background cuts from the CTMH Cricut Artristry Cartridge. I used the Urban paper pack to create this two page layout of my husband and son at a fire training event in 2012.  For the Cricut cuts I used the Background button and cut the circle from page 4 at 4 1/4". I then used the Background button from page 35 at 2" to create the arrow.  I "think" I am now almost done scrapping 2012 but we will see what else turns up in the large pile of pictures I have in my craft room! Your next stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop is Wendy Kessler of My Scra...

Disney Mulan Visit

Image
Before we went to DisneyWorld last spring we watched as many Disney movies as we could find. A family favorite ended up being Mulan and my son could not wait to meet her when we went to Epcot. Almost a year later I have finally started scrapping our 2 week vacation. As soon as I got the La Vie En Rose paper pack I knew it was perfect for the picture of Simon and Mulan. I used two Close to My Heart Cricut Cartridges for this layout. I used Art Philosophy for the large scalloped square. I used the "fit to page" for the size. I used the Artristry cartridge for the flowers. Two of the flowers are 2 3/4" and the smaller one is 2".  This layout helped me find my vacation layout mojo so hopefully I will get a few more layouts done this week!

Picture My Life Childhood

Image
I keep thinking I am done scrapping 2011 and then the next time I am going through pictures I find more 2011 pictures! My answer to get done with 2011 and move on to more current photos is the Close to My Heart Picture My Life  programs. I ordered the Childhood Scrapbooking  set and it was perfect for pictures to the Boeing Museum.  Picture My Life makes it quick and easy to preserve family memories.  Picture My Life cards also make great cards and I will be showcasing a few cards this month using PML cards.
